Human Proteins
SCIPAC offer a large range of human proteins including nutritional markers, cardiac markers, enzymes, immunoglobulins, infectious disease markers and many more. We offer a number of products at different grades including Thyroxine Binding Globulin and Thyroid Peroxidase. These products are essential tools used in life science research and in the production of diagnostic test kits. They are also used as spiking reagents in the manufacture of controls.
Custom Serum & Plasma
Our serum and plasma products are from US origin. All donors are screened and individually tested for HIV & I7II, HBsAg, anti-HCV, HIV P24 antigen by FDA approved methods. We supply from 100ml to hundreds of litres, depending on the product. Special filtration or treatment is also available upon request. We offer depleted sera covering an enormous range and are happy to customise products to your specifications. This product type is used control manufacture and quality assessment schemes.
Disease State Plasma & Clinical Patient Samples
Scipac offer a very wide range of serum and plasma samples from disease state patients. These range from ‘Patient Samples’ of 1-2ml, to ‘Disease State’ units of 600ml. Disease State serum and plasma come from donations by individuals with clinical conditions. These are available in volumes of approximately 600ml but can be split into smaller units if necessary. Matching pairs of serum and plasma from the same patient taken at the same sitting are available for some samples. Very often we are able to provide clinical details such as diagnosis, severity, pathology report as well as age, gender and test results. SCIPAC patient samples are widely used in academic research, quality assessment schemes and by instrument manufacturers. Bulk disease state plasma units are most commonly used in the manufacture of controls.
Antibodies
Scipac offer an ever expanding range of matched antibodies. We provide a wide range of both monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies to match our antigens as well as a number of drug based antibodies. They are tested on a various assay platforms, allowing SCIPAC to recommend the best matched pair for specific applications. These products are widely used in diagnostic testing kits such as ELISA assay and Lateral Flow.
HbA1c Reagents
HbA1c diagnostic testing kits need to be extremely accurate and give consistent results with every use. SCIPAC offer HbA1c reagents for Boronate affinity, Immunoassay and HPLC chromatography techniques. These reagents can be used in the manufacture of calibrators and controls for internal testing.
Cell Culture Reagents
Scipac provide a number of mammalian cell culture products, including apo-transferrin, holo-transferrin and sidero-transferrin, which are all essential components of serum free mammalian culture medium. For tissue culture media, human cells grow better in cell culture media made with human, rather than bovine serum components. At SCIPAC, all cell culture material is sourced from human origin to ensure efficient end results. These products are used to formulate high quality cell culture media.
